Server List Issues

Hello all.

 

I've been having an issue with the game ever since I have purchased it where the server list will only populate around 10-15 servers in about 2 minutes time. They are usually high ping with barely anyone playing on them. However, my friend's server list when refreshed, instantly populates around one hundred or so servers. I have tried disabling the firewall (never had problems with other games) but that did nothing. I have also tried setting the ping filter to 0 to get a more broader server choice, but again, no dice. Still the same measly 10 or so servers with high ping and low pop. I have a 50 MB/S Download with a 5 MB/S Upload cable connection, so I shouldn't be having trouble there.

 

It would be great to know if anyone else is having this problem or a similar one, and if they've been able to fix it. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.

Hey!

 

Well, first I would check your filter - there is that ping filter. Have you tried to put that for example to 500? High upload/download speed doesnt mean that you dont have ping.

Next you should check what version of dayz you are running. I had that problem also but it fixed by simply reinstalling the game. Not sure if you can fix it another way - anyone else knows?

Hi, and thanks for the response. I've tried messing with the ping filter before, but no luck. Also my DayZ is up to date. I should've mentioned that I can join games that my friends are in, but I won't be able to see the server they are playing in on my server list. They just aren't showing up, it's weird. It just kind of sucks not being able to play on high pop servers by myself when my friends aren't online.

Then I can just say that you should reinstall dayz - if that does not help Im not out options.

With your download speed it shouldnt take more than half of hour.
