Why do zombies spawn out of thin air (experimental)

How about instead of complaining about it you come up with a solution.  Such as, "Only start the respawn cycle 3- 5 minutes after the area is cleared of the number of zombies it starts with."

 

Are you trolling? Because it's hard for me to believe you're actually asking me to give you a solution for something that's so obviously fixed by pretty much any form of tweak.

 

- Make zombies not spawn in plain sight

- Not spawn in X meter radius around players.

- Not spawn before Y minutes have passed since the last zombie in that area was killed..

 

If that was a troll question, than I am defeated, as I've made a serious response, and I applaud your skills. If not, well, I don't know what to say without sounding insulting.

Try not to fire a weapon if you don't want to see the swarm of Z's...it's that simple.

I was on the outskirts of Balota and was continually swarmed one after another just using a fireaxe. Would go to bandage myself and another one would spawn on me before it was done. Was it the bandage noise causing that or being out in the open?

I wasn't suggesting we keep quiet. I was suggesting getting mad and calling them a shitbox won't usually (USUALLY) enlighten them to their errors.

Yes, because screaming, "REMOVE NAO!!!" is constructive feedback, right?

The why is "because they glitch through walls". We get it but that was known and still being worked on. So instead of complaining about the obvious talk about how they can improve the zombie respawn. That's what we are here to test. Christ the title if this damn thread is "Why do they spawn out of thin air" not why do they glitch through walls.

Just had it happen again, sadly I wasn't recording - killed a zombie (with axe), 2 seconds later, another spawns facing me, about 10 meters in front. Instantly aggros. GG.

Im happy to see respawning zombies at last. Maybe they need a full server of players spawning them to test the coding/scripts under load, then assess performance. Maybe this is the first of a complex script set that will ultimately handle zombie spawns, but needs some crucial testing. Anyone whos played the mod knows you don't fire loud guns in towns if you can avoid it, and has probably been waiting for this....I know I have. This is dayz....its finally arriving....time to man up you KOS camper junkies :P

So...10 FPS with Zombies that are not interested in the player as long as he doesn't shoot?^^

Just joking, i'd also like more  Zs...as anybody ;) but atleast, they should go for the player...^^

I don't say that I don't believe you, but I have never actually SEEN a zombie spawn. Last times I shot at them (Svetlo, electro and Zeleno) they spawned somewhere out of my sight and came running around corners, and when I kill them with my hoe or my pitchfork (nobody needs a axe anymore ;)) I haven't neither seen them spawn nor did any Z come to kill me afterwards. So maybe I have either to camp somewhere or I am lucky - or you've bad luck regarding Z spawn.

So...yeah, I also don't want to "see" a Z spawn in front of me when I kill one silently. But it's already stated, that it's worked on, so why the rage? Chill out, relax and wait...

at least the first 2 points will be in the game, i'm pretty sure. For the last one...hm... yeah, might also happen? I have to say about that last point i haven't heard anything....

And why the spawning is in, in this form (apart from the millions of QQ posts "I thought this was a ZOMBIE game" etc. etc.)....to test the system. Because in it's core it will stay the same (zombie dead? Spawn new zombie!), so it's not a placeholder it's...well...an alpha ;) Zombie-respawn-early-access-alpha-experimental.
