flashfire452 0 Posted March 9, 2014 Hello, So Last night A really friendly guy was taking me and a friend to the airstrip in DayZ standalone (from the spawn point u go left and follow the coast for like....EVER. then things went terribly wrong...(salute) long story. So I eventually got to an industrial plant full giant storage crates (like U see on a huge cargo boat or train) and other stuff (A really big building with multiple floors) I kept following the coast, and I found a lighthouse...from there where is the airstrip? (with all the military stuff).
Kaupang 5 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) http://dayzdb.com/map The best way to find where to go is using the map I just linked. Check signs and train stations for names which you can find on the map. As for the airfield, there are three airfields in DayZ. One in the North East between Krasnostav and Svetlojarsk, one just north of Vybor in the North West, and Balota Airfield on the south coast. herrjon 478 Posted March 9, 2014 Sounds like you went though Elektro docks and made it to Cap Galova. Was the area with storage crates and such have a lot of other buildings and a large dock area with cranes? Was it by a larger city, or just a small town? And for the lighthouse, was it on a peninsula, with a rocky mountain on the other side of the road? Is there a marsh further along? Assuming you're at Cap Galova and it's Balota Airstrip you're headed for, you've got about 3.2 km as the crow flies, but since the coast line does bend and you've got a city area to go through, you're looking at 4-5 km run yet. It's probably equal to what you've gone so far, assuming you started 3 Valley/Solnichniy area, but if you think that's a long trip, you should go up to the wilds of the North. I would recommend checking out Cherno and its suburbs on the way though, especially if you need to stock up on any residential loot or medical supplies. It's a great area to get lost in, and based on the way it sounds, you won't survive Balota Airstrip. Might as well enjoy the trip.
