Meekalew 44 Posted March 8, 2014 To me, the best part of the gaming isn't being geared up and surviving PvP encounters; the best part of the game is being a fresh spawn and surviving interesting experiences; The search for gear as a weak spawnling is where the real challnge of DayZ lays, the encounters you have during the search, and the missteps and "barely escaped" tales of the unarmed spawnling. I think that's where some of the most interesting stories sit in DayZ. Having guns is all find and dandy, but the adventure while surviving and getting your guns... that's where it is. Unless you're with a group of friends i see no point in being this super armed madman with everything, i would probably just find a new spawn and give him everything i had, just to see the elation on their faces, and then just play like a newspawn again Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Knock (DayZ) 111 Posted March 8, 2014 To each their own! Fresh spawn experiences are good too. I've seen plenty of revenge stories up on youtube by now. In fact, I think one of my most interesting experiences so far has been when I only had an axe as a weapon. But fights I get into fully armed are interesting too. There's plenty of things that can happen in DayZ. I think one of my favorite things to do recently is talk to people in game. The only part I don't like about being fully armed is that there is nothing to do after that... except either stur up some trouble with another group of people, or give all your gear to a fresh spawn and start over. I have to disagree... Some of the most fun and intense experiences I have had in game have been while I was completely kitted up facing off against another guy who was also completely kitted... Wanted to find an SKS for the first time but had an m4 that I didn't want to leave laying on the floor of a piano building. I said screw it, flagged down the next Bambi I saw, told him to wait for a second... Then I dropped every single item I had on the ground and told him to axe me in the face.
