Zjasuu 337 Posted March 7, 2014 If you fire a weapon like mosin once, it leaves 4 rounds in the gun, why do I have to take them out of there before I can add more ammo? Like... I have 4 bullets in the gun, I fire once, it leaves 3 bullets, then if I want to add ammo in I must first remove the remaining bullets, why? Alphur? BTW: Filling M4 magazines should take as long as it would take IRL to push 60 bullets into a magazine, it shouldn't be a magical auto-reload.
savini 587 Posted March 7, 2014 Agreed. I'm sure it'll be 'proper' in the future though.
Crooked Hauser 258 Posted March 7, 2014 Much easier to load a magazine if you have clips and a feeder/speed loader.
TheWanderingMan 170 Posted March 7, 2014 It's a lot better than 99% of other games that claim to be realistic. Sure it'll get sorted in the future. Reloading should take longer though, takes time to open your pouch, take out new mag, replace old one back in pouch and put the new one on.
xRann 126 Posted March 7, 2014 Much easier to load a magazine if you have clips and a feeder/speed loader.dunno, used both and I can jam thirty rounds down in about the same time. Only thing it ever saved me was torn up fingertips.
TheWanderingMan 170 Posted March 7, 2014 Mag chargers never work properly, they always seem to jam at the most inopportune moment.
chekovp 89 Posted March 7, 2014 No offense xRann, but you can't load a 30 round by hand as fast as you can with clips and a speed loader. How do l know this? I've loaded tens of thousands of 5.56 rounds into 30 round magazines, both by hand and with clips/speed loader. I do agree wot he the OP that you should just be able to add more rounds to weapons like the Mosin and revolver. Obviously with the revolver you would have to remove the empty casings.Reload times should be that long. I can load an M4, M9, and AK in less than 2 seconds and that is without dropping the empty magazine. Most games have your character reload weapons wrong if you've fired all the rounds in your magazine. Bolts and slides have a catch when you've fired your last round and all you have to is hit the release once you've loaded another magazine. Most games have you charge your weapon after reloading if you've fired all your rounds.

Better to lose a mag and have a loaded bang-stick if someone is shooting at you! If you reload in the "tab" menu OK, but if you reload using middle mouse button you should actually drop the mag in the gun and put the new one in! Then you'd have to remember to pick it up! Edited March 7, 2014 by Railsplitter84
Leo Balzac 190 Posted March 7, 2014 Agreed, if you drag 'n drop ammo onto a half-full mosin, it should just top up the mag.

The quartermaster would have bummed me if I did!!

Loaded plenty of mags and always just ended up hand loading and telling people to disregard the blood if I had to bang out cases.
chekovp 89 Posted March 7, 2014 I will agree that the speed loaders for 5.56 rounds are shit and will stop working properly after a while, I would always grab new ones every chance I had.
TheWanderingMan 170 Posted March 7, 2014 If you can load three clips quickly the mag chargers are great, but everyone who's ever used one will know that it's never that easy. Especially when you're shaking, rushing and under pressure.
