Are there any plans to allow reloading with 'R' or any other button for any weapon? I can understand the realism aspect about some things, but if you're able to hotkey any item to bring them out of your bag without knowing where they are, not being able to reload by pressing a key doesn't make much sense to me.

Am I insane? I thought you could reload with R if you have the right equipment (magazine, stripper clip, speed loader, or snap clip).

I am pretty sure you are correct and I believe you can also do it by scrolling the middle mouse button or pressing the action(F) button.

Yeah, I know you can do that for sure, I accidentally do it half the time I'm trying to open one of the fake doors.

yup, would be nice to be able bind "reload" to R. and then unbind it from the action menu controlled by the scroll button.. frustrates the fuck out of me.

edit: spelling

I think OP means hitting 'R' to reload loose rounds into a weapon. As opposed to going through your bag and manually dragging them to the weapon/magazine.

I think.

However, I am not in favor of such a mechanic. I prefer it how it is currently.

...well, maybe the mosin should be reloadable with loose rounds by hitting 'R'. Unless there are stripper clips...but I don't think there are.

OP, I understand your point. I still think there should be a bag opening animation whenever you open your backpack, and a delay when you use the hotkeys to get something out of your backpack; I don't understand why that only applies to ammunition.

yeah I mean loose rounds. I don't mind a bag opening animation if it is for every item I think that would be a good thing. Well unless it is a pocket or something.

but I should be able to reach into my coat pocket and pull out some loose rounds without having to go into the inventory. Snaploaders and stripper clips should just make it faster

Agree, but I would go as far as preventing stuff in backpack to be accessible via hotkeys at all.

And yeah, accessing backpack should make your avatar kneel and do some animation.

As it is now, the whole invenotry feels as being one mega huge tactical vest, it's that easy to manipulate with stuff no matter if in backpack, pants or tacvest.

The animations from the last of us would suffice.

I want the backpack to be stacked in the order you put things into it, and when you're trying to find your can opener there should be an animation of your toon taking everything out and placing it on the ground around themselves and once the can opener is found you have to repack your backpack which results in another delay and accompanying animation. Obviously you should also have to kneel while accessing your backpack. :D

i want to reload my mosin without the need to fire all bullets first.

You can, it is just a slow process as it would be in reality (actually a little faster now than it would be).

Right click your gun, empty the rounds. Take your stack and load it back in. Reloaded. In reality, loading a Mosin without a clip is an annoying slower process. You have to push the rounds in one by one and many Mosins have parts that aren't as smooth as they should be, which catch the rounds as you try to push them in, so you have to play with it a bit on each round to get them in.

With a real Mosin, you don't need to fire all the rounds to load more ammo into it. All you have to do is pull the bolt back and insert more rounds.

I have 4 different Mosins from various dates. None of them require any kind of special 'play' to get them in.
