Is there a delay when you play?

I have a very powerful pc, and i am new to DayZ. I was wondering is the game laggy for everyone or is it me? For Example when you walk, you press w then like 2-3 seconds later, you will move?

I believe that DayZ has an internal desync. Not sure why, though.

Note: By desync, I mean that your character is out of sync with when you press the button.

If you shoot someone in the mod it tool like 3 seconds for the guy to drop.

There seems to be quite a lot of desync/lag/whatever at times, which is pretty much the only gripe I have with the game at the moment.

 

It's still Alpha and to be expected, so I don't care

Desync tells the devs very little about the issue. It's adapted into a general term that people use to describe almost every connection issue the game has...

Other than server lag, not really. I do get issues in cities sometimes but again, I think its the servers. My PC is pretty good.
