Cannot launch game

I am having issues with trying to launch DayZ via Steam. I am getting this message saying "Unable to locate instance of Steam". At first I thought this issue may have been caused because I installed the game on a separate partition where I normally install my games (G drive) and it had trouble locating Steam files so I uninstalled and re-installed it on C drive where most of the Steam files are located but still no luck.

 

I am using a fresh copy of Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, Can post system specs if needed.

 

Any ideas?

EDIT: Turned out Steam needed an update so I restarted it and it launches fine now, DERP!
