uninspired 18 Posted March 6, 2014 Background story:After I had looted Lopatino I decided to visit the little area north-west of it with the train station and the construction under building. I walked a little bit next to the street behind some bushes and trees when I noticed two people standing in the street without any cover. One of them seemed to give the other one a blood bag or something like this. I put out my SKS to kill both of them since they had some nice loot as far as I could see. But then I changed my mind. I put away my SKS again and decided to walk towards them to ask them if they need help or anything like that. And that's where my little story begins: So I walked slowly towards them. I had no weapon in my hands. As I came nearer and they still were not noticing me, I tried to communicate with them. So I asked them if they need some help or stuff like bandages. That's when I finally got their attention. Immediately both of them put out their mosins. One was aiming at me while the other guy ran towards me screaming "PRESS F2 PRESS F2 OR I'LL SHOOT YOU!! STAND STILL! DON'T MOVE!". Of course I knew it was quite dangerous (maybe naive as well) to walk unarmed towards two silly people giving each other blood bags in the middle of the street. But hey I thought maybe they're friendly.. Maybe I'm lucky.. But apparently they weren't. So I thought about what to do.. And as one guy was trying to handcuff me I saw my chance and I started running away. Both of them were shooting at me. Luckily they were the badest shooter I have ever met. Not a single bullet hit me. Well maybe it's difficult to hit someone running away in zigzag. But come on.. They were two guys with a mosin and at least one of them had a long range scope. I was so happy when I reached a very tiny forest.. I hid behind a tree and took my SKS into hands. As I saw them running after me I started shooting at them. Then they did the silliest thing I have ever seen.. As I shot in their direction they lay down on the ground.. They had no cover or anything.. In the middle of a wide open field they just went prone.. I was so confused.. I kept shooting in their direction. Then I used the little forest I was hiding to sneak around them. They still were lying on the ground shooting into the forest even I've already managed to get behind them... Don't know what they were shooting at.. It wasn't me... But well.. They got what they deserved. It was no big deal to kill both of them now. Sadly one body disappeared but I could loot one of them at least. And hell, they had tons of ammo. A very nice mosin.. A revolver and a fnx45.. And great clothing. I was lucky that his stuff was hardly ruined. What a great experience.. My heart was pumping so loud and hard.. I could hardly aim.. My hand was shaking as hell.. But I was so happy to survive. And their gear was it all worth it :D But I don't think I will ever be so naive to approach others unarmed again. Were there dead bodies around that they had killed or did you just assume this because you walked up on them and they tried to capture you. As far as them going prone in the field means that they thought they were hidden in the grass but really wasn't on your end .We all know that the game renders different for everyone so when people think they are hidden in the grass or shadows it could be a 50/50 chance that they really are. ld-airgrafix 403 Posted March 6, 2014 I wouldnt call them bandits but rather confused. It seems like they watched too many frankie youtube videos and simply wanted to try out handcuff feature. I don't exactly know the definition of a bandit (that's why I put it into "" in the title) but at least they weren't friendly at all. I was unarmed I was absolutely no threat for them. Glad you survived that, sounds like a pretty cool experience! Indeed. Normally I die in a gunfight. That's why I usually try to avoid it, resp. I only shoot if I'm sure I will kill my enemies with the first shots. Furthermore it was the first time I shot with the SKS. I had a nice run in with two guys on the exp servers today. I was in the med clinic with shotty with no shells, had two guys with sks's walk in on me. They both yelled friendly while trying to fend of zeds. I gave them a saline bag as I had just found two there. They gave me a couple cans of beans since I couldn't find any friggen food on that server. I thanked them for not shooting (of course they never knew I had no shells) and then I was on my way :) to the OP, I've tried far too many times to do the unarmed Hi guys encounter. atleast they tried to hold you up instead of just shooting. Viner Cent 7 Posted March 10, 2014 I had only one friendly encounter, I was lucky because he could have just shot me from behind... Other times I am either being sniped at or being killed unarmed. Once it was really strange, I was at the big airfield and I saw this guy go into the tent on the north/western side, I asked if he was firnedly, walked into the tent and he was gone, dissapered...
