Timewarp (DayZ) 32 Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) Well there I was running through the woods heading north to meet my buddy at the NW airfield. As I was getting into the area as I usually do I scan around with my ALT key and this is when I saw some movement to my 2 O'clock. I immediately stopped, grabbed a knee. At this same moment my buddy screames over the team-speak, fuck they got me cornered. At the same time I pulled out my mosin and zoomed in; at about 200meters I could see 2 guys with their guns pointed in the direction of someone that I couldn't see. All I could think is that it must be my buddy just out of view range behind a tree that they are pointed at. I knew my buddy didn't have a cowboy hat on and these two guys did so I carefully took aim. The primary target was the guy on the left, quickly I confirmed my zero, set for 200 "check", I squeezed the trigger and I gleefully saw the report of blood splattered from his head as he dropped, I then chambered a second round, it's only been a fraction of a second and the other bandit didn't have time to react yet so I took aim and down he went head shot number 2. Man what an exhilarating experience. These guys thought they had a guy cornered and could screw with him. When we looted these blokes they had disinfectant, rotten food and handcuffs so we're pretty sure they were up to no good. If anything this experience will teach them, remember even if you have the drop on someone to keep up your situational awareness, you just never know if someone is alone or not. At the end my buddy was like yea they had the drop on me and I couldn't decide if I wanted to fight or surrender, you saved me man "Thanks Buddy!" and in the end because of the way DayZ is and that you only have one life his thanks really meant something and made my day! My thoughts are you might of gotten one of them but not both and you more than likely wouldn't have lived through the ordeal but nevertheless here nor there we made it another day in DayZ and that's what matters lol.
