Well, I don't know that for sure, but I looked up 'kvass' and it says the alcohol content is quite miniscule. Miniscule enough to be categorized non-alcoholic. And no alcohol, back when I still lived in Ukraine, (I was a little kid), people sold kvass barrels on the street. I used to drink a lot of it, it's delicious.
