[GUIDE] How to install for dummies. 9 Steps.

Hey,

Yes I know there are already guides out there but I found them hard to understand. So I decided to make my own little guide.

1. Download and Install

Arma 2 free - http://www.arma2.com/free/

(Crappier graphics but still looks amazing!)

or

Arma 2.

2. Buy, download and install Operation arrowhead.

(If you Google it you can buy it for £9)

3. Download and install patch 1.6 -

http://www.arma2.com/supply/game-updates.

4. Download and install the latest beta patch. -

http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php.

5. Download and install six launcher -

http://www.six-updater.net/p/download.html.

6. Open 'Six Launcher' NOT 'Six updater'.

7. Click on options in the bottom right corner.

-Make sure that 'Game path (ARMA2: OA)' has the correct directory e.g. C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead.

-Make sure that 'Game Path (ARMA2: Original)' has the correct directory e.g. C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 (Free).

-Make sure that 'Mod path' has the correct directory e.g. C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead.

-Make sure ‘Beta’ is checked and’ launch though steam’ is unchecked.

8. Click on any server and on the right it will tell you if you need to install, click the button to install DayZ.

9. Choose server and GLHF! :D
