Thoughts on servers and DayZ

This has nothing to do with current DayZ, as this is just how it's being tested...

However, on long term, I think our behavior as of late has proven that the players cannot be trusted in general to host their own servers. Either they act in ways which can easily be misconstrued, or they are doing exactly what we think they are doing behind closed doors...

Anyways, the point is, if DayZ ever goes beyond the "mod attached to Arma 2" state it would be a good idea to make the game based around a few persistent 24/7 servers, and just make a really large map, with 3 major metroplexes, some urban sprawl between them, and the surrounding land being a mix of Mountains and ranch or farm land.

It would probably take a large server cluster to make it work this way, but it would be cool to have a more realistically sized city to crawl through...like maybe the size of the current DayZ map.
