Remove an audio file?

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to remove or replace an audio file for DayZ. The file I want to change is the damn flies noise from dead bodies. It often drowns out all other game sounds, and the sound remains long after bodies despawn. If it is possible is it against the rules to do such a thing?

It's probably not possible since either Arma 2 or DayZ checks all the files if I am right to make sure they are legitimate.
