Different ways to play dayz

Recommended Posts

Playing endlessly with no end in sight?

Bored and want goals to achieve each play through?

Well this is a topic just for that.

I will post a couple of ways i know of that helps limit or give purpose to each session.

1. This game has perma death, use that, people may say FRIENDLY ALL THE WAY or BANDIT FOR LIFE. But lets be reasonable playing one type the ENTIRE time is just limiting yourself. Each life decide what your character will do mix it up, will he be a helpful gift giver? A psychopath who manipulates and kills? A merciful robber, or even a robin hood like character? Or totally bipolar where you help one person then kill then next just by pure choice.

Which ever you choose stick with it, don't change until you die.

2. I recently have been keeping my play sessions short and a good way to do so is to set out to make contact with a person to end a session, and decide whether to help or hurt them (this is more fun on experimental since loot is more rare). Based on number decides what I do, unless I decide my current life i will be bipolar and just be totally random with my actions towards people.

3. Playing santa, I did this a couple times and honestly the first time was horrible I was on the worst server I have ever seen (people wise) they were absolute shit individuals, but I did it again and found it to be fun looting the untouched places going to the shore and play gift giver. DO NOT try this if you come across a group people become shittier and dumber the more of them there are.

Other things I have done is walk the coast with gear, and challenge people to a duel of fisticuffs and let the winner take all, where the winner also chooses the fate of the loser.

Also kneecapping and letting them squirm then leave laughing is good too.

LOL YA RIGHT, im not a ginger I have a soul and therefore find the last one fucked up and wrong and just plain cruel, so no don't do that.

4. The troll way: Fly over Cherno in your Helicopter and have "Dragostea din tei" blasting out your speakers while other players and zombies run after you. I hope for helicopter implementation later on for this scenario alone. Trolling level: It's over 9000. trololololololol ....

Here are some of the ways I play:

1) Go into Chapaevsk and live off of the buildings, you get just enough food to stay alive, there is a water pump there, you get a gun from the school building, ammo from the buildings if you're lucky, snipe bandits from the buildings and later on set camps and barricades there.

2) Rob people who have a lot of gear and give them to someone who doesn't have anything.

Grab a gun and start cruisin for people to get into a tustle with, because it's really the only exciting thing to do at this point.

Or you could pretend that it's real life and do a bunch of boring in-game real life stuff

Or be a tree-hugging humanitarian crying-man baby and become a medic and carry nothing but saline, bandages, and balloon animals

But seriously, killing other people and getting into violent/bandit encounters is way more fun at this stage in the game's development

/Fixed :P
