How do I solve this problem?

Information that might be useful: I have the free version of Arma 2.

I don't think that is necessary. I know what the problem is but not how to fix it.

When i launch Arma 2 it's searching for the addon folder but it can't find it since it's searching in a folder i dont have; arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\addons. My game is in arma 2 free\@DayZ\addons since I got the free version of the game.

Anyway, thank you for your help and I hope someone got an answer for this problem.

You need Arma2: Operation Arrowhead and Arma 2 to play DayZ.

It won't work with just Arma2: Free

You need to have Operation Arrowhead as well as the regular version of the game, the addon folder needs to be in Operation Arrowhead and you need to launch the game as Combined Operations
