DayZ: The Greatest Unfairness Simulator Known to Man!

thats what this game makes me do, regularly.

 

I'm not new, I played the mod (a long time ago, I must admit), and I know my way around (and how to navigate the search features :P)

 

anyway, as it stands, this game is inherantly unfair.

 

not the other players, but the mechanics or lack of, and I know that this is an alpha, so it should be expected.

 

So, I aimed to play as a philanphropist. I loaded up on loot, after maybe my third spawn, and went on my merry way. I then walked up the stairs in the firestation on the north west airfield, and somehow, just SOMEHOW, had my leg broken.

 

So, I proceeded to slog to the jail building on the south of the airfield. Nothing there, and no point looking for sticks.

 

I come back today, lo and behold, theres a morphine injector right in front of me. WOO! so, I go on my merry way back to the coast to see who I can help.

 

BUT NO. I go for a wander through Staray Sobor and then head north again, into a field, and the server gives me the 'no message received' thing.

 

It crashes. I log onto another server.

 

It spawns me on top of the hand rail on the stairs on the outside of the huge barn.

 

My character proceeds to fall off, and BREAK HIS GOD DAMN LEG AGAIN.

 

Not once have I broken it through my own fault, so far. Spawning with maybe 5 seconds of no fall damage would fix this particular problem, but this is one of the things that really needs fixing before this makes it to the big time, as it will put off a lot of players.

Or just have 'W' to walk / Shift + 'W' to run. Seems much easier.

I do. It's a lot easier since you don't have to use another finger. Just double-tap w.

 

Though I do admit, my two most played games are DayZ and ArmAII with some Minecraft mixed in. So all I really know is the double tap W

I think it's a known joke that DayZ itself is the greatest bandit in the game.

 

Who knows how many lives have been taken by those stairs in the firehouse at nwaf? I lucked out. I found morphine after a short crawl.

 

To OP, don't give up man! Don't you let DayZ win, damnit. Think of it this way. If you do survive this latest fall, it's just more credit to yourself and your skill and fortitude. Don't let the game make a bitch outta you, lol.

ah yes, the pain of the undeserved death.. One of the most painful deaths to endure in this title.  not a good ending to the story it has to be said, better luck next time. We all know that feel.
