Wagley 0 Posted February 25, 2014 So just incase I never get my bug report seen in the ocean of the ones in the feedback, though I might post here in case anyone shares/knows my issue.I was just a new spawn getting some loot in an apartment building when I glitched through the wall of the second story and I miraculously, instead of the usual instant death I'm used to, simply broke my legs. Noting that I couldn't simply respawn from there since I wasn't dead, I decided to drown myself in the ocean. I now can no longer respawn and every time I try to connect to a server I am sent to the same inescapable spot in the ocean with broken legs to repeat the cycle of drowning. Hopefully someone can help me so I can resume actual gameplay, more information can be provided if neccesary. Thanks Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

boonaroony 10 Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) is this seriously the only fix for this? leave it on overnight? this is stupid!!!! I was playing dayz, jumped into quite a nice deep bit of sea off a jetty, hit the bottom, heard a crunch and could crawl around like I had broken my legs, then said dead, cant click respawn it is greyed out. Some ppl said try joining a new server but this doesnt work - just means I get to look at the spawning countdown timer repeatedly (as an aside what is the point of this? surely to avoid combat logging there should be a timer to leave the server you are in, not when you join a new one? but alas I digress...) When I finally get in the new server I can crawl around underwater a bit but then it just says I am dead again but cant spawn!!! still get the stomach grumbles msgs etc and can look in my inventory... I understand the whole alpha thing but surely there should be an instant outright kill button to sort out this kind of massively frustrating glitch? Anyone got any answers other than wait to starve? and if not does this def work? thanks ps Iove this game but it is as brutal and frustrating as it is amazing and I am not sure I can cope with the stress! KoS has got me a few times which i accept is part of the game but sitting looking at a u are dead screen and not being allowed to respawn is so annoying!!!! boonaroony 10 Posted March 5, 2014 just to note I have now starved and am back in the game thank goodness - this is a stupid bug... Incidentally within 2 min of me spawing I managed to find a kiddies backpack and an axe, only for some fully tooled up arsehole to kill me - i didnt even run because I didint want to give him the satisfaction of chasing me down! pepsigubben 1 Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) I have had the exact same problem, where you have jumped into water and the character brakes his legs and it says you're dead but you really aren't and therefore I have been playing on hardcore server and it has been so annoying but today when i logged in to my regular account i respawned. I screamed. EDIT: I now know what caused it, all the servers were down so there were only experimental servers up and I succeeded in joining one, I will just have to wait and see if this will actually have fixed the proplem.
