Can we have Chernarus offline for sorting fps out please!?

Recommended Posts

So currently sorting out my pc with some clocking etc, trying to run a few test goes to monitor fps etc but I've crashed the odd time and waiting to get back into game is a real ballache. While I realise these measures are there to stop server hopping, I figured it would be a good idea to have a version of the game with no loot and not connected to the hive available so we can do tests like this, rather than waiting to get back in, only causing frustration. Maybe even an offline map just to buzz around cherno and test your settings in peace?

What do you guys think?

could be cool, but maybe loot, items, zombies and players do influence fps? Your client and your pc still have to calculate these sort of things to make them appear on your screen I guess

LOL

that statement...

fps is highly server dependent. so a single player experience makes no sense whatsoever for fps testing. your fps would differ so much.

try a 0 population server with fraps and then try a 64/64 person server (or 50/50 or whatever its at now)

essentially what your asking for can simply be done by joining a 0 pop server...

you can run Chernarus plus single player if you google how.

basically if you had no zombies or loot or anything your FPS would be 3x what it is now.

these elements destroy fps.

Indeed, a couple of patches ago they had a line saying that we got a 10-15 FPS increase client side due to optimisations made purely on the server.
