how to close mouse wheel wepaon selection without switching weapon?

If you scroll the mouse wheel and get the weapon selection option on screen. how do I then close that selection without switching weapon?

I use right mouse click, either double tap it or keep it pressed for half a second so you dont have to bring up the weapon sights.
