Requested a new instance ID

So I requested a new instance ID a few days ago and I'm waiting for the admins to respond. Is there anything that I'm supposed to do in the mean time? What I've done so far is open the required ports and start the dedicated server with these params:

 

"arma2oaserver.exe"

-mod=@dayz;@stats

-port=2303

-name=cfgdayz

-config=cfgdayz\server.cfg

-cfg=cfgdayz\arma2.cfg

-profiles=cfgdayz

-world=Chernarus

-exThreads=0

-maxMem=1024

 

I figured that the admins might want to connect or check the server before they approve or reject my request. Also, I saw two people joining my server yesterday. How are they able to join if my server hasn't been approved yet?
