Unable to die

I bought dayz like 2 hours ago and enjoyed the first part of it.

I died, respawned and a bunch of guys started handcuffing me and broke my legs

I tried to go to the sea and drown, went as far as i could and got the message : You died

I couldn't use the respawn button and every time i press play and join the server i would be at the same spot in the sea slowly going down and then the message ''you died'' comes again. Is there anyway to just die because im unable to play the game now

After you die, stay connected to the game for a few more minutes and give the server time to update your character in the hive database.

Also, try the respawn option again and give it time. It's kind of broken but if you wait long enough it will usually re-spawn you.
