BlueBlighty 15 Posted February 23, 2014 I could swear I saw one once. I've been looking for them in the fire stations, but all I've found is the walkie-talkie so far. DayZDB tells me they don't exist, but I'm sure I saw one.

Chawktah 43 Posted February 23, 2014 Yea, same thing, just now they work :) Pretty sure you have to change from direct coms to the walkie with the "." (period key)
Etherimp 1323 Posted February 23, 2014 Err.. Aren't they called Transmitters now?
yogi92 50 Posted February 23, 2014 I think they were called walkie-talkie all the time.Anyway, you need to put a battery inside, then turn it on and set a frequency (all by right clicking) and then you can change your voice channel with come and period buttons. DannyD (DayZ) 9 Posted February 23, 2014 Yes, they exist and yes they work. Find 2, put batteries in them, turn them ON and set them on the same frequency. Then drop 1 on the ground where you expect people to come (for example ATC).Sit in a bush (max 1,5-2km away) and use the other one to troll people. :)They still transmit even if you put them on the ground ^^

Danny_Boooy 61 Posted February 23, 2014 They were actually both in the game. I once found a transmitter and a walkie talkie in a fire station. They're the same thing but with different names. Now it's just walkie talkie to save confusion.
