DayZ Standalone Question: Can't find a city on the map

Recommended Posts

So this is in russian, and kinda looks like 'OnWA'

In the site http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus (coordinated please?) , I can't find it. I come from Berenizo.

Trying to head to a place called 'military base' but I'm a noob with the Compass, maybe because the map on this site doesn't really show where is North, south etc.

Thank you!

the upper part of a map is normally the north. ;)

But I think the problem of the dayzdb map (that no one of is using of course because that would be cheating) is that it is based on the dayz mod. In standalone there are some new towns I think.

Meh can't argue with that, although I'm sure some people would. That's certainly not the way it was intended.

You get used to the signs.

That's Olsha and Berezino.

You're in the northeast and if you want somewhere large, you'd follow the Berezino sign- hospital and lots of residential spawns including three apartment buildings (two close enough together that you can cross between them on the roof). Part of Berezino is the lumber mill which has lots of industrial spawns and there's a ... School house as the call it as well.

That sign is also probably relatively close to the northeast airfield. Look up and make sure the clouds are moving from left to right and you might find it.

In the mod, Berezino has a couple of military tents as well.

I could count on finding a bicycle in Olsha 9 times out of 10 and there's a very tall comm tower you can climb on a hill near Olsha.

Anyway, over time you get used to the map.
