Do small protector cases get ruined?

Hi, as far as I know when my pants get ruined (either shot or fallen), all the contents in there get ruined as well, but say if I had a Small Protector Case (http://dayz-standalone.wikia.com/wiki/Protector_case) in there, would that get ruined as well or does it sustain the damage?

I too have the impression that the content doesn't get ruined. Maybe it isn't implemented yet.

the only thing i can compare it to is trample in MTG (if you have ever played) the protector case has so much "health". say you get shot (and this is not actual damage value its just an example number) sa your case has like 20 hit points left, and the damage is 25. it will absorb 20 damage then its ruined. and any leftover damage (the 5) will be inflicted on the contents within (once again not actual condition or damage values was just an examplw

I've had both the case and the content ruined in a firefight, which sucked, because my bandages were in there, so I bled to death, lol.
