yorkmorgan 191 Posted February 22, 2014 (edited) Just wondering if anyone knows whether being able to magically stick a rifle and an axe to the back of your tshirt is a permanent feature or just a placeholder mechanic for alpha... cos I really hate it. How cool would it be to have to find or craft weapon slings? Edited February 22, 2014 by YorkMorgan
weedmasta 784 Posted February 22, 2014 It's permanent, they will add glue to the game to make it more realistic. Seriously though, I have no idea but I hope they do something about the hovering weapons on our backs indeed.
res 373 Posted February 22, 2014 Attach strong rope to M4's little bit between the handguard and the barrel, where you can attach straps, attach other side of the rope to the buttstock. See? No need for complex fucking crafting and finding unnecessary shit.

rickenbacker 190 Posted February 22, 2014 I like the idea of having to carry the rifle in your hands until you can find a sling. I don't really mind the idea of sticking an axe under the straps of the backpacks or something, everyone needs an axe!
SoldierHair 29 Posted February 22, 2014 Let's say you could craft a strap from rope and duct tape for weapons that don't come with straps, unlike the M4.

MangoX 10 Posted February 22, 2014 (edited) Should the straps just be visually seeable or do you just want to make them yourself... Maybe why wouldnt you able to use rope to do strap for axe.. But to some actually adding them to game is another thing. Linked few pics for well idk.. Anyways rifles usuyally have straps in them allready. Possibly there could be some rifles without and some with damaged/broken straps. But i dont like the idea where you need to craft strap in all rifles cause thats not really realistic. minime1000 78 Posted February 22, 2014 Sort of agree. You should need slings for both large melee and rifles but then the game would become a chore the second you find a weapon with no sling.

Still waiting to see sawed off axe that easily fits in 2 slots (pants, backpack etc.)

The game shouldn't be easy you know.. you found a weapon? good for you, you want to keep it? then you better put some effort into it.

Agree, I also think not being able to store large melee weapons easily would help to balance them, atm there is no reason to carry anything other than a fireaxe, and seeing as they're so common, it makes all the other melee weapons redundant which is a shame. Yes a machete would be less deadly than a fireaxe, but it would be so much more practical to carry, and the game should reflect that.
pillock 850 Posted February 22, 2014 Before they make you carry them in your hands if you don't have a strap or rope, I'd want to be able to use my two hands independently for carrying. I can carry a rifle in one hand, and an axe in the other while I'm walking around - I only need to use both hands if I'm actually using the gun or axe.
