bioned 36 Posted February 21, 2014 don't see the log topic anywhere but i hear it got something to do with weathers and rocks and 100 ppl servers i just hope it optimizes the weather and rocks and 100 ppl servers
solodude23 649 Posted February 21, 2014 Here's the changelog for the most recent experimental build. I'm *thinking* there will be another update within a few days. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/175096-update-rev-036115535-experimental-branch/
weparo 613 Posted February 21, 2014 Most optimizing means optimizing server side. Client is already fairly optimized, not so much you can do there.
iBane 381 Posted February 21, 2014 Changelog to the experimental branch. More things will be added before rolling to stable, but this is what we know about the next update so far. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/175096-update-rev-036115535-experimental-branch/

InvisiMan2013 229 Posted February 22, 2014 Client is already fairly optimized, not so much you can do there. That's not true at all. Dean said very recently that companies like AMD and Nvidia have been providing them with data to help optimize the client side - we should expect significant improvements when that starts happening. I believe he said that the on-board Intel graphics chips have been seeing jumps of over 50% in performance.

It might just be better antialiasing and better ambient occlusion? (AO kills about 20 FPS on a 770) Anyways, I wouldn't expect more than 5 frames more for low end, and 10 - 15 for high end systems. Will see I guess
e00c 84 Posted February 22, 2014 I've recently tested the experimental. And whilst I don't have any performance issues on stable. Experimental did actually seem smoother for me and a few friends (Y)It'll be good when these tweaks come in from AMD/Intel/Nvidia. Though, I fear my performance will actually decrease :-( I'm currently out performing most of my friends even though I have a lesser system! I managed to hit 100 fps yesterday according to bandicam
