Where am I right now?

So I'm very new to the game and I have no idea 1. Where I am and 2. Where to go from where I am.

 

So after dying from jumping from the top of a staircase, I spawned next to the coast as usual. I turn around to find a very large town standing right there.

 

I proceed to loot the buildings, as you do, when i realise it is a very large town. I find a pristine fire axe, a gun, ammo for my gun, clothes with a lot of spaces for loot and a backpack, as well as a first aid kit and supplies. The town has a cathedral, or at least a large church, and a fire station. I'm presuming it's a rather important town then.

 

So can some one please tell me the name of the town and where i should go from here.

1. How close is the Church to the Firestation?

2. Is the Firestation next to a large open field?

3. Is the Church near the Pier?

 

If you answer Close to 1 and Yes to 2 ... you are probably in Elektro.

If you answer yes to 3 ... you are probably in Cherno.

Don't think there are any spawns in Cherno.. so i assume it is Electro.

 

From there, head north to explore the world, there is no right or wrong place to go.  Unless you only want to play death match style and therefore you should stay in Electro.

Well the two are very close and the church isn't near the sea so i guess I'm in electro

Try to go on an empty server and loot the city. If you are on a full server there is a big chance you will get killed, Bambi

Download the map. It has the Russian and English names on it. You'll be able to find your new spawn location easily, since you'll pass a sign sooner or later. 

P.S. 

If you spawn near the shore, and keep the shore to your left as you run, you're going westward. If you keep it to the right, you're going towards the East, and will eventually end up in the northern areas.  Hope this helps.
