samsam417 0 Posted February 20, 2014 I am new to the game, I have watched some tuturial videos and read some forums for advice, yet i still find myself running around finding no loot but rotten kiwis. I know it will take a few more hours to get in the hang of things but am i doing something wrong or is there actually nothing there. I looked at a map which shown a few loot points and at everyone there was nothing. then i broke my legs and had no splint and was crawling for a good 30 min till a zombie raped me. so all in all not the most productive start to a game I have ever had. MetapoliC 263 Posted February 20, 2014 Try to get to Elektrozavodsk or Chernogorsk, these two are big cities and there is a lot to find, but actually you will find enough to eat and drink in every town. If you see the doors open, somebody already been there and you should skip that house/building. You can also switch a server, look for one with less players, this gives you more chances that the location you in is not looted. Yes you have to run a lot in this game and at some locations you better do it carefully. The falling damage is currently not very real and you can easily break your legs, there are even some stairs bug... broke my legs on the tower stairs many times now :)) If you are looking for people to play with - look for Squadrunnerz group on Steam. Have fun! Don't listen to him, he's a madman! Avoid big cities like Elektrozavodsk or Chernogorsk, they're hotspots for people who'll shoot you without hesitation no matter what your gear is. If you're feeling adventurous then by all means go there, but otherwise, stick to the smaller towns, you're far less likely to get shot. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
MetapoliC 263 Posted February 21, 2014 Yes, don't listen to me if you are a pussy. I've been many times in both of the cities on full servers and it's totaly fine there. I always stay aware and hide myself behind the walls and so on. This way you avoid being a target. Being more to the coast in both the cities makes you a hard target for snipers. Always a good thing to stay a bit longer in some of the houses where you have a good view. Make sure you are away from windows and observe the area a bit. Then you know which way you can go first, because it's clear. Take the fire/woodsplitting axe to 1/2 hit zombs but don't shoot them ^^ Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ld-airgrafix 403 Posted February 22, 2014 (edited) I would find a well, drink water, and run inland, don't bother searching coast houses,they only have rotten kiwis, go into smaller towns, look for store named ZVEZDA (meaning star, although I think it's spelt in Russian Cyrillic so it would resemble 3Be3da) if loot is fully spawned you will have no problems finding food backpacks drinks even an axe. Once u have enough food, find a petrol station, some contain maps. Then head to the airport, make sure you play low population server no more than 5 players, at the airport you will find more guns than u can carry.
