I just don't trust other bandits. How do other people make bandit friends without getting shot on sight first thing?

I mean I've let a few survivors live and then later on corrupted them and showed them they way of the bandit, but it's like teaching a baby how to walk. I want to party up with hardcore bandits without said hardcore bandits shooting me in the face.

Sniping from the cherno tower alone is no fun anymore seeing how I can't even loot their bodies anymore because as soon as you take one step off the tower, you're dead.

elektro all the snipers hid in the hills with NVGs as the slightest amount of darkness and reign terror upon it with AS50's ( probably hacked due to the sheer amount of them groups have )

You are going to have friends from RL play or join a bandit clan.

How can any random group trust you are not just going to kill them when they find good loot.

The only thing I really need is a DMR, ammo and food, I can navigate my way around the game with nothing but food and a gun. How would I just join a bandit clan without knowing the bandit clan will turn on me?

To be honest, you'll just have to take a risk. There's not much to dying in this game, it's a part of it. So just look for someone on the forums, team up and have fun.

If they backstab you post it. It's a part of the game.
