how to change ammo type for a weapon

I have a m1014 with slugs. but i have found some pellets. some people say its good against zombies.

but i cannot change the ammo. when i press F i see SLUG:flares:smoke grenade:then SLUG again.

how do you change ammo type of a weapon?
