Quotation marks in books replaced with question marks.

Has anyone else noticed that in most books the text is slightly messed up, like the quotation marks being turned into question marks?

If you don't believe me try it for yourself, I'm reading ?The Island of Doctor Moreau? right now and it's alittle annoying.
