s32ialx 10 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) By Golly, just the sheer amount of join=kick/private/clan only servers even servers threatening to auto kill you and force you to reset back on the shore is just astonishing. how are all these servers STILL around are the hosts even doing anything about these? maybe DayZ should implement a restriction to server names preventing the words kick private clan and a combo of join=kick clan only private only etc so they are not ALLOWED to use those in there server name an then disable the kick function on any player for at lest 30 minutes so that a player can join said server and not get insta kicked... I know that leaves rooom for people to be verbally abusive? but to who themselves? lets face it global chat doesn't seem to work (at least not on any of the servers i play on) or it's strictly for admins, so really unless they see another player it's hard for them to really be abusive... and even if they do see one whos to say an admin is on at that time, and how do you even report a player when you can't see there name unless they type to you. anyother thoughts or suggestions on stoping these server hosting rule breakers? it's quite obnioxious of them to think they can just blatently go against the simple rules and privatise there server. if they want a private server so bad... they should quit playing untill there is private hives added so them and the other butt hurt cry babies can farm items alone. Not a matter of that your defending breaking rules is that becuase you run a server and kick people that join it? probably not but just becuase you avoid those servers sometimes the servers don't say they will kick just that is a clan server and when you ( I ) join instakick for no reason never been on the server before only got the game 2 hours prior and never played the mod version. tried to rejoin kicked again... hmm spam the connect button.... I feel like they have a bot sitting in the game auto kicking people. anyways it's not a matter of there being thousands of servers to join (which by the way must be exageration becuase my list maybe a couple hundred) it's a matter of principal you don't host a damn alpha testing server to privatise it when that breaks the EULA of hosting a server. just like breaking the rules on any other game like WoW for example you get banned, or sometimes your items and stats wiped. they are not an exception nor should be they are clearly breaking rules and need to be sorted. When Private Hives are introduced good riddence of them till then down with there servers it's there money they want to risk losing it over frivolous things then oh well.
