I regained consciousnes almost instantly and my attacked was gone - what did actually happen?

First of all, hello everybody! : )

 

So.. last evening i was going going through the military base south of NWAF and stumbled accorss a bandit waiting to kill me (he saw me approaching the place from a long distance but failed to shoot me earlier so now he was waiting at the top of the stairs in the main building). I have unloaded whole sks clip at him, moving behind the stairs at the same time - i don't think i hurt him bad, at least not as bad as he hit me - i had to bandage myself and while i was trying to load my rifle (didn't realize ammo was ruined) he got down the stairs and finished me before i managed to get closer with an axe. So, naturally, i had got the 'you are unconscious' message and prepared to respawn but here is what happened:

 

i had regained consciousness almost instantly and the guy was nowhere to be found (well, i'm not sure he didn't run outside since the first thing i did was to hide in a room to patch myself up but he surely didn't disconnect/logout since i would still see him - 30 sec hadn't passed yet). Even assuming he ran away as soon as he finished me, w.o looting, how could i get up so fast?

Sometimes the shock value only exceeds the blood value by very little, and there for you can recover fast. An example is when you get punched in the face, most of the time you recover in less than five seconds.

Oh well, that might explain a bit, thanks. Still, it was weird for the other guy to vanish so quickly.

Perhaps he hadn't seen you coming and was surprised by you entering the building, and thus only wanted to escape. The fact that he didn't finish you off suggests this.

he probably panicked when he knocked you out. thinking there was someone else with you (not many people go to military bases alone )

 

i say you got lucky. bandage, eat till your energized, drink till hydrated, and keep doing this till it says your healthy,

and if you can try and get a buddy on to saline you

 

or if your brave ask some kind gent on here to give ya a hand. i dont mind doing it if you can make it to spawning grounds, ive been handing food and water out to bambies, ive got maybe 3-4 saline bags on me if you wanna take the risk
