rich2000555 0 Posted June 24, 2012 Whenever I revert my save, or start a game and click 'resume' not 'restart', it loads then gives me a box that says "Private Alan Hoffman" and the button 'continue', which takes me to the lobby. If I press 'ok' or 'back' then 'resume' then 'ok' again the same thing will happen. The only way to play the game is if I restart, which means losing all of my stuff!! This happens to me about 95% of the time (I've only ever spawned at my save once).Also I am unable to join other servers, the only way I can play is by making my own server, which uses the DayZ 1.7.0 file because I cant find any newer ones, although I play with DayZ 1.7.1.5. Is this the reason I can't reload my saves?And yes I have tried reinstalling BattlEye, DayZ etc.I would really appreciate some help (I really want to get a bus, but I can't because I'm not good enough to do it in one session, and have to restart if I want to play again :() Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
species5021 28 Posted June 24, 2012 Im not sure what's going on but it sounds like you've been trying to play DayZ single player, it does not support that. DayZ is multiplayer all the way and when on a server you dont have to save anything you just step out of the server.The newest 1.7.1.5 patch requires something called the Arma2 beta patch expained how to install here http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=9314 to be able to play multiplayer.You can also install Sixupdater http://www.six-updater.net/ which installs and manages any updates for you. rich2000555 0 Posted June 24, 2012 I have the latest beta patch, and I think I've been playing multiplayer, my friend has joined me before, as well as lots of random people I don't know.Every other feature works fine, this bug is the only one I have at the moment. species5021 28 Posted June 24, 2012 In any case the only thing you should touch in the menu is multiplayer and anything that comes after, the other buttons except for options you can think of as Turned off and wont do anything for you in DayZ.If you cant join servers then tell us what messages the client gives you, saying i cant join is to generic for us to think of anything to help you. rich2000555 0 Posted June 24, 2012 I always use multiplayer when starting the game, and when joining other servers, some say something like 'bad version, rejected by server', but some let me into the lobby, load, then go back to the menu with no messages.
