Sudden, strange death.

I'm not going to say hackers, but I did suddenly see someone leap off the hospital roof, and continue running, right through the buildings I'm looking at.  Didn't die, didn't get stopped by the walls.  Weird.  So I started the recorder.  In less that 30 seconds I died.  No shot, no bleeding, didn't go unconscious.  I was healthy, energized and hydrated.  A bit disappointing and kind of B.S. tasting.  Tell me this is normal for the game:

Hmm...most likely a desync death, as when you desync, some characters continue in the path they were last running/walking when you desync, which could explain the fall survival...or those pallettes could have killed you. Didn't make any bullet hit noise so I'd say you got alfer'd

either a bug, someone shot you from far away since you were in the open, or a hacker made you suicide

I don't have to watch the video, a number of things could have happened.

 

That player could have been modding, cheating, etc. It's possible.

 

One of you could have desynced while he was in the building, and his character "leapt" to his actual location when the problem was resolved.

 

You could have died from just about anything. Sniper on your six, crazy ax man, random glitch death.

 

What is to be expected in this game is random things happening that will continuously frustrate you. I was thrown out of a wall to my death while fully geared in NWAF the other day... I wasn't even near the wall. It happens.

I started the recorder because I had witnessed some strange behavior.  There were only 4 available hardcore servers and it was my hardcore (aka no 3rd person) character who died.  I wonder if the hardcore servers are less monitored.  I did see some battle eye permanent bans when trying to get to my body.  Didn't get there though.

Okay after watching the video I want to say it was definitely a glitch-related death.... I try to stay away from trying to walk over items, like the little pile of wooden planks or whatever those are...I want to say your character got like "squished" to death. It's happened to me. That one industrial building with the tall  tower part and the small flights of stairs... yeah my char has gotten like squished to death walking down those narrow stairwells, several times. I tend to crouch now whenever I go up and down stairs now lol...Look, I feel I can say without a doubt that what happened to you is nothing more than glitch related. Keep calm and stay patient as we get through alpha. <3

Someone said on here, if you don't want to die, don't ever climb ladders or go up any stairs at all.

 

Seems like solid advice.
