I joined over 10 servers with GMT+1 or GMT+2 now.. All in complete darkness..

all apart from one EU server ive tried is pitch black, Might as well play with my monitor off

I joined gmt+4 server where there was light. I found a watch and checked the time. It was 5 past six. I assume this is in the morning and not evening because on those gmt+2 servers it was still dark.

It should have been 2pm...

Arma has a realistic sun, moon and star cycle per anno.

With pitch black moonless nights to bright full moon nights.

The time for raising sun depends on the ingame date then.

AND the server admins decide if day or night...
