I had a sling in the Marines that was probably original issue from Vietnam. At least until they started issuing 3-point tactical slings. Degradation on rag/string/rope improvised ones could be a thing just cause, but on a manufactured sling? if that is the case then our clothes need to fall off every 15-20 minutes of play.
