Profiles and other suggestions

I have a friend visiting next weekend, he would love this game

but I don't want his first experience of Chernarus to be crazy easy - since my character has an M4A3 with 80 rounds, two water bottles, three morphine, two painkillers, a czech pack, six bandages, military flashlight, pasta, beans, and an AKM with two full clips there would be no challenge for him

I propose a profile system that allows perhaps three save-states per account - there's potential for abuse of the carry limits, but work arounds are possible (if a player loads a save state they are restricted to that save-state for 24 hours)

minor suggestions

- players can tag messages on certain locations a lá Demon Souls

- allow clips to be merged - time consuming ofc, but carrying four makarov clips with two rounds each can get frustrating

- more maps; I've played ten hours of Day Z now and I haven't found a single map in any town or military encampment

- soldiers' corpses at military bases carry items

- players' corpses can reanimate

- combat knife as default, possibility to find better CQB weaponry

I disagree with your main idea.

I believe, however, rocket has indicated that the final plan would be to have 1 character bound to each server. So you could roll anew on different servers without losing your epic character.

1. I dunno, could be easily abused.

2. Yes, I believe this is actually in the works?

4. Disagree. Would complicate things coding-wise I believe. Also it would increase the amount of military spawns, which should remain at few and rare.

1. I have no idea how demon souls plays such, however when you have a map you can mark locations on the map with text.

1.5 (I'm too lazy to rename) Clip re-merging would be kind of nice. Or take the bullets out and find an empty 'clip'

2. Maps are uncommon or rare, hard to find.

3. If you kill a zed soldier, he might drop loot. But this is actually not a bad idea for in the future.

4. Also not a bad idea, but only if zeds kill the player.

5. Melee isn't in this game, so it would render pointless except to spawn with the hunting knife. (Which honestly why not? You have a makarov to begin with :V)

WoW that would be great!!! i mean just like others i'm playing with the same friend most of the time but having a "solo" profile and a "coop" profil" would allow us to do and go wherever we want when we play in solo without worring about not finding each other once we want to play together.
