Change in Backpack item storage

Recommended Posts

So I was wondering, while looking at the Hunters backpack and the Mountain Backpack, why doesn't each backpack have their very own individual height and width to it.

If this sounds unclear let me explain:

The Hunters Backpack is much wider than the mountain backpack, so I think the hunter backpack should have a greater width for item slots than the mountain pack.

However, the Mountain backpack should have a much greater length than the Hunters backpack because after all it is longer but also more narrow.

I also think the hunter backpack should have a certain inventory slot shape to this because the backpack is skinnier at the top compared to the bottom.

For those who think this suggestion is pointless and does not matter, let me explain why it should:

Certain items would fit much easier in each of these backpacks like for example a fireman's axe would probably only fit in the mountain backpack compared to the Hunting one.

Also, I am pretty sure Rocket wants to add hit detection and seeing that our gear is now being ruined by bullets to our clothes, backpacks, etc. I feel that this backpack system can be used to tell what specific items in a backpack got hit by a bullet, axe, etc.,instead of all the items being ruined all at once.

I also think rotating items can be used to make them fit in backpacks easier as well.

I also hope we can have some way of storing larger weapons in our backpacks as well. I think certain small 2 handed weapons like sawn off shotguns or an M-4 with its parts detached.

Let me know what you guys think please.

Would be a good idea personally I think backpacks need to be smaller 25 slots max so allowing a number of different shape backpacks means you can have more variety of the same size pack. It would also be nice to see backpack slots broken up into pockets and not one big pool Eg: the Hunter back pack would have a 4x3 slot main area with a 2x2 pocket on the front and two 1x2 on the sides

More variation for backpacks sounds good. Same can go for the tall taloon and the wide school backpack
