Can't join any server..bad vehicle error message

Beginning early last week I was unable to join any servers.  I receive a "bad vehicle green ushanka" error message and am promptly kicked back to the main screen.  I have tried validating the files with steam and uninstalling and reinstalling the game through steam with no luck  Not sure what else I can do.  My character may have a green ushanka in inventory, but i can't remember as it's been a long time since I've been able to play.  How should I proceed?  Thank you.

Try joining a server which deletes you character. If it is a problem with a Ushanka then these servers will reset you character. You may have to start again but at least you can play.

thanks for the speedy reply.  Dumb question, how do I determine which servers reset your character?  i've attempted to join multiple random servers with no success.  Also, i have seen a thread in which someone suggested deleting the cache to the their Day Z mpmissions folder.  Would that be something worth trying and if so does that mean you just delete the contents of that folder and re validate with steam or is their a specific folder in the mpmissions folder that should be labeled as "cache"?

Well, deleting the single PBO in the cache did let me play.  I still recieve the notification about the "bad vehicle green ushanka" but can get in. Thanks for that.

Generally you have to join servers that say "Join = Delete Char" and stuff like that. I just type "delete" into the server filter and join the first one that comes up. If i spawn normally then i'm good. If i don't then the server is lying in it's name (used to play regularly on a server which promised 24/7 night and little restarts. It was a 24/7 day and 4Hr restart server).
