Fresh spawn bug/help?

Hello,

was playing dayz earlier, fairly kitted out with a Mosin, long range scope, bipod, compensator, magnum, 80 rounds of .357 ammo, 50 rounds of 7.62 ammo. TTsKO jacket & pants, ballistic helmet, etc... you get the idea. My friends and i were around balota just the sniper hill there and they decided they'd had enough Dayz for the day so they logged out, i logged out too. changed my mind a few minutes later and tried logging back into the same server only to find i was a fresh spawn. logged back out quickly and tried a different server to no prevail, tried a few more times and no success, restarted Dayz, steam etc and still nothing. Thought to myself fuck it, its an alpha i'll get over it, started playing gain, started gearing up and logged out for a while (please note im pressing escape and close, not just shutting dayz down before anyone says anything about that) and logged back in later to find myself a fresh spawn again, tried logging back into the server and others and was become a different fresh spawn each time. Anyone else had/got this problem and anyways to fix it? i know this could under bug report but perhaps it could also go under general discussion too. Is this a server or a client side thing too?

I've experienced this a few times.

 

Often what happened is that you accidentally log into a hardcore server. However, this isn't always the case. My friend once had his character deleted when he logged out, there are some servers that will do that. Some of them have "DO NOT JOIN" or something of the like in the name. Stay on reputable servers (high traffic).  I'm unaware of any fixes for this, but just try not to server hop. You shouldn't have this issue if you stick to the same server.

 

This really seems to be pretty random, and just remember that we're all in the early stages here.

Yeah, i think youre right, everything's fine now but thanks for the reply, i'll keep that in mind next time!
