Still getting a Memory Leak.

Whhhhyyyyyyyyy???? Game is crashing anywhere from 10 - 15minutes in, just checked my task manager and noticed it was nearly at 1,500,000k of memory and counting...

 

Is there still glitched items? Anyone have any idea why? Any help would be great.. I need my daily DayZ dose. Preferably more then 10 minutes at a time.

1,500,000k = 1.5gb of ram which is more then normal for game to be using.

 

If your game is crashing consistently I would be more inclined to check your hardware for problems, a bad sector in your ram could will be one possible problem.

 

Try running memtest and see if you have any issues.

 

This is assuming you have already tried the usual fix's such as updating your drivers and such.

I used to have the same problem as you, OP. I had been on the same character since the second patch... I decided to kill him by jumping off the green mountain tower. Fixed my problem.

I knew it had to be character issue since my hardcore player was fine... only my regular player was acting up.

starting to think this is a problem with Items, seeing the game crashed and someone picked up my 2nd gun. now every time they get near me the game crashes.

Now I am not sure how the game tracks Items but I think I crashed the server by spray painting a M4 Green, I Had a M4 in my hands and a gun on my back.

had my friend drop his M4, and when I spray painted the one on the ground the server crashed. at the vary instance.

 

If anyone can try to reproduce this.

 

 if you Log out next to a friend with a Gun in your hand and one on your back.

so my friend grabbed the gun and he dropped it for me to spraypaint when I tried to spray paint it after he dropped it on the ground Boom the server died.

You know what I just died and Im not crashing every ten minutes (god damn cliff), although it did just crash and do a complete system reboot.. it would appear to me it is an item bug as much as I hope it is not. I just updated all my drivers yesterday I really hope a new driver is not the cause...

Yah its running better now 100% that my old character died.... So there is definately something in-game that is still causing issues... If anyone else is experiencing this just do yourself a favor and kill your character instead of trying to find out whats wrong, It will be much faster
