Render distance system

Recommended Posts

If you go to the highest point of the tall buildings near Cherno, you can see for as far as the eye can see.

However, Snipers can't shoot that far yet, so I think you should be able to set a render distance as to help with less beefy computers and for users who don't fee like they need that view distance. I haven't seen anything about this in future updates and don't know if this is coming.

You can set this in a config file in documents. Its standard in-game setting is 3000m. 1000 would give a frame increace and is what most of the mod servers ran at. Carn't remember the exact file, but im sure a google search will find a guide or 2 ;)

That being said im not against an in-game slider to adjust it :)

I agree, there should be an option to adjust this. Along with every other option that you can change in the .cfg file.

when done adjusting the cfg file save, exit, right click, set to read-only. If you alter some in-game settings it may overwrite your manual changes. Setting it to read-only locks it from the game changing and saving any values.
