Hunting Cameras

Recommended Posts

So before you give me shit hear me out. Players would be able to find these cameras and place them on trees around there basecamp for example, and whenever there is movement within a 15 meter range, the camera takes a screenshot that the player who placed it can later view. Of course if the player who is sneaking into the camp could shoot the camera or delete the pics or something This would be a rare spawn in deer stands.

I actually kind of like that idea, I just don't think it fits this game. I think a game with technology (like STALKER) that could work well. When some one walks by your in game "iphone" pops up on screen with a view from the camera. I don't think this game has that level of technology in game though.

Cool idea though.

cant really see how this would be helpful, having a pic of someone sneaking up to you or your tent/car/pet-boar?

Not for who it was exactly but if people were actually there.

Great idea, it could be implemented so that the camera sends the pics to your GPS. One would need both of them for it to work, making it a rare commodity given its huge tactical advantage. However, as people have pointed out, this might be hard/impossible to construct in the framework of ARMA2. Perhaps something to keep in mind when making Day Z a standalone game ;)

I like the idea, but not as a camera that takes a screen shot. I think a motion sensor, that sets off a small alarm that you can hear on your belt would be better. That way, if you have a number of sensors spread out around the camp, you will know someone is near, but have no way of knowing their exact location. Will keep the added tension and suspense, without ruining it completely for the person oblivious that they walked into an area and they have been spotted by an electrical device.
