Some kind of bug or that's the way unconsciousness works?

So I was looting the NEA when I came across a guy coming out of the east jail. Contacted him verbally (no need to use text chat, he saw me) and he immediately raised his weapon and fired at me. After returning fire for a while, I climbed on top of the tower, using the outside stairs. Long story short, after a small brushfire, I got knocked unconscious.

 

What happened after that was weird. I pushed ESC ready to respawn, but noticed I could see my character lying down, as well my surroundings. So I pressed ESC again, and somehow I had regained consciousness!

 

Is it possible I was only unconscious for a maximum of ten seconds, or I just found out a weird bug?

 

As for what happened next...The other guy was lying down next to me, probably looking through my stuff, so naturally I emptied the rest of my magazine on him. He managed to fire a few shots as well but eventually I killed him.  I was losing blood so I panicked and immediately started bandaging myself... big mistake. Turns out there was a second guy, which I never suspected on being there. He heard me apply the bandage, came up the tower staircase and shot me dead, while I could not cancel the bandaging and raise my m4. Well, at least it was a good fight...

If you are healthy and/or healing there is a very good chance you will get back up from unconsciousness more then once. I always wait a good 30 seconds after being knocked out just in case that chance of getting back up happens, after 30 seconds I hit the suicide respawn button =)

 

So no not a bug, you either got lucky if you were not healthy, or it is working as intended... Very glad you killed atleast 1 of the douchebags though lol

I was healthy or healing, actually I was recovering from an earlier shot but my blood was probably full at that time. What troubles me is that it took way less than 30 seconds to get up again, about five to ten if I remember correctly.

BTW it's not that I managed to kill one of them (although as a CQB Bambi I expected way less), it's the way I did... "Nice he's down... let's see what he's got... BANG BANG BANG"  :lol:

me and a friend mowed down 3 guys in the church in Electro. As we killed the last guy I ran inside and my friend got shot in the head (he had the Army helmet on). It knocked him out, and im sure the guy who shot thought he was dead as he took off to hide behind a wall.

 

About 30secs later, my friend woke up, ran behind the wall inside with me and patched himself up. No sooner did the guy who shot him come in the door. We both shot at him and killed him, but the 2 shots he got off knocked me out.

 

My friend sat there for a good 10min+ defending off the guys trying to come inside, all the while, im out cold on the floor beside him. They finally got in and killed him, and within 5secs of him dieing, I woke up. However, they were right there and saw me wake and shot me dead.

 

So I was out cold for over 10min and still woke up (mind you, my friend did bandage me to make sure I didn't bleed out)

Sometimes yes you get up almost immediately (5-10s), I had bambis fill my face with punches as I continued to fall unconscious and get back up several times... Damn bambi's worst KoSers out there

Happened to me last night. Guy with an m4, emptied his 20 rnd clip into me while I was looting a body at kamenka mil base. I went unconscious and thought I was done. Woke up about 15 to 20 seconds later with him facing the opposite direction. Drew my .357 and put 2 in his chest and 1 in his head. He should have finished me.

HAHAHA That is so epic, I really hope this happens to me soon so that I can own the KOSer that shot me.

Random, but tbh you should be getting up after only a few seconds of being knocked out. If you spend more than a few seconds unconcious you risk the possiblity of brain damage and simply not regaining conciousness.
