Steam- Dayz won't launch.

I clicked on the beta option and Steam downloaded 100 mb worth of whatever and now the game won't launch. I opted out and the game still won't launch for some reason. In Task Manager it says DayZ.exe is running and taking up about 50 000 k of memory; I have to end process so I can try to launch again. Any ideas?

Wow thats incredibly helpful Frosti, thank you so much for that. I came to the conclusion that I haven't even bought DayZ yet which would explain everything.
