AdrtySanchez 0 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) I want to boost my cpu to run the game better but if I overclock to 10% I tend to get BSOD after awhile. I get 40-50 fps while running thru the woods,60-80 if I zoom in but it dips into the 20's randomly with no major change in scenery. 10-30 in cities and again seems kinda random,I'll hold 30 for a min or so then it drops hard. my current build is:cpu- amd phenom II x6 1050t 2.8ghz (oc to 3.5 stable)ram-8gb ddr3 sniper gskill 1866vcard-geforce gtx 760 2gbmotherboard-m4a88t-m le resolution 1920x1080(native)video memory -autotexture detail-highfiltering normalobjects-very lowterrain-lowclouds&shadows offrendering-all disabled and hdr on lowFSAA=0;postFX=0;GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1 sceneComplexity=150000;shadowZDistance=100;viewDistance=1600;preferredObjectViewDistance=1600; Edited February 13, 2014 by AdrtySanchez
clerk 4 Posted February 13, 2014 Only thing to say is the game is not optimized so getting good FPS is not likely. As some other people have said, even a super computer would play at low fps. As you know the game is in Alpha so it is bound to not be a perfect optimized game.
AdrtySanchez 0 Posted February 13, 2014 I know, was just curious if there was something I was missing that may help me squeeze a few more frames out or even stabilize them a bit more. if i could hold 30 most of the time that'd be great lol
sai (DayZ) 137 Posted February 13, 2014 The only thing that really helped me was setting dayz's affinity to 2 possessors rather than all four. I still only get 13/25 fps tho.
b0hem 21 Posted February 13, 2014 It's all about your CPU. Dayz sa is not optimized for AMD processers, yet. If you google your problem, you can easily reach many post about it.
Dunxel 17 Posted February 13, 2014 My system and these settings appear to be working pretty darn good for me so far.Getting Pretty darn good FPS out side of town.. In Towns i would say 20-30fps I've tried everything its like a roadblock.Also.. CPU only gets maybe 60% utilized not matter what i change in the settings including Load distance ect.=============================AMD Phenom X6 1100T (@ 4GhZ)Asus Sabertooth 990FX Mobo16GB RAM 1600MHz (4x4GB)AMD Radeon 6970 2GB2x Ocz Vertex 3 SSD - Raid 0 Steam Launch Options-world=ChernarusPlus -cpuCount=6 -exThreads=7 -maxMem=15360 -maxVram=2048 -noSplash -noPause DayZ.cfg 3D_Performance=93750;FSAA=4;postFX=0;GPU_MaxFramesAhead="1";GPU_DetectedFramesAhead="0";HDRPrecision=8;vsync=0;AToC=7;SWLayersCount=96;PipQuality=3;PPAA=0;Myname.DayZProfile mouseSmoothing=0;anisoFilter=0;TexQuality=2;TexMemory=4;useWBuffer=0;tripleHead=0;headBob=0;sceneComplexity=500000;shadowZDistance=100;viewDistance=2000;preferredObjectViewDistance=2000;terrainGrid=32.5;bloom=0;rotblur=0;
TIC 1050 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) Try this: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/154330-possible-fps-enhancer/ Major client/server optimizations are currently being worked on most likely for the support of the increase of players and zombies alike. Rocket"Significant changes in testing on internal version today. Major graphics optimization for clients in testing, major server optimization also" Rocket"Engine optimization, based on feedback from hardware manufacturers on their assessment of our usage of their hardware" Edited February 13, 2014 by TIC321
