What Happens when you Help Newspawns

Saw a whole bunch of fresh spawns running around after some heavily armored guy, and after I said I would help them - the guy shot me. Many sad. Such loss.

Ya I learned whenever you go into new spawn territory, wear a motorcycle helmet so you can't be knocked unconscious with their fists. 

 

And I do have to agree with this guy shooting you, I was giving some stuff to a guy with an magnum when 2 new spawns with axes ambushed me. Just to be safe, I shot the guy with the magnum first so he didn't betray me and help the 2 people attacking me.

After hearing that the guy had ammo for his gun, you should probably not have decided to stand still in the middle of that field.

 

And while I do appreciate your intentions, that guy very much needed to be taken down for newspawn killing, I did find those 3 newspawns to come across as more than a little needy. I wouldn't have trusted them the way you did, walking amongst them while they run around with their fists up, but probably told them to run ahead, trying to lure out the armed guy so you could take him out from a safer distance. Anyway kudos for having the guts to link an unsuccesful story here. They are always much more educational than the succesful ones.

Yes I admit I could have approached the situation much more carefully - I just put too much trust in people :/
