How Do You Play?

I concluded there are a few ways to play Dayz.

First off, IMO it's a PVP game, and probably always will be.

Solo you can run around without pants, goofing on people. You'll die pretty quickly.

Or solo you can gear up and talk to other players. You'll live a bit longer if you're lucky.

After a while it'll get pretty boring gearing up again and repeating.

Solo you can gear up and sneak around like a snake, perhaps KOS ambushing or simply surviving. Boring.

Teaming up makes it better. Even a 2-man team can survive longer, making gearing up tolerable.

You can play good guy or bad guy. There are always opponents.

But teaming up is key to the game as it is now.

You need somebody to watch your back.

That's only my take. Haven't bought it yet, but played the mod. Still the same.

people play one of two ways with slight variation

 

1. The yolo'r

The type of people who play the game like an fps deathmatch who run to elektro to essentially say yolo

 

2. The hermit

The person who plays the game the way its trying to present itself which is to loot survive and stay alive. The problem though right now all these people do is server hop wait 4 their buddies and go camp a hot spot. which is about as end game the game and its foreseeable future seems it will be

 

I play a friendly hermit who tries to give people stuff since i know how to get tons of stuff fast...though people just kill me for lawlz even when i do help....ya post apocolyptic setting with no real risk to your own well being, on the internet, ya it just makes it a big old troll fest
